The Pawfect Dog School is a fully insured and privately run facility situated in the picturesque village of Cranleigh and recommended by Brookmead Veterinary Surgery

Set within privately owned land, the calm and tranquil landscape lends itself perfectly to our unique training methods. In harmony with mother nature the school provides the perfect surrounding that replicates the day to day challenges, distractions and obstacles every dog owner will face.

The school provides a safe and secure environment within specially designed paddocks. Our unique training methods are used to engage you and your dog in activities that enhance both mental and physical capabilities through desire, curiosity and fun.

My personal journey

I am Mary, the owner and founder of The Pawfect Dog School. Firstly I'd like to say how privileged I am to do a job that I love and am truly passionate about.

My first dog, Harry, set me on the road to learning and training with many methods. My experiences with Harry set the standard. After his tragic loss I found myself unexpectedly taking on dogs with issues.

On a personal mission to find help we found the only way most trainers knew how - to train dogs with old fashioned dominance and fear based methods that regularly did more harm than good. Through these struggles and working with others who encountered the same frustrations, I forged my own techniques that denounced the archaic and problematic methods many are urged to follow.

My own dogs are a real inspiration for The Pawfect Dog School. My old boy Ash is in his final years, happily lounging in retirement. My beautiful girl, Holly, still works as my flow course dog - she is specifically trained to ensure the course layout runs smoothly. The newest recruit is Elk, my Norwegian Elkhound. He is a working dog, doing the most fantastic work helping other dogs and is proving to be a real asset.

My greatest mentors are all the dogs I have met over the years, be it my own or a stranger's. I am indebted to their being and spirit, and above all the gift of knowledge they all have brought me and the many lessons I have learnt that I can now share with you.

We have an open door policy, we welcome and share the knowledge with like minded dog owners and trainers.
